To Kill A Thief is the first in the Devilish Dilemmas Gamebook Adventure series where YOU decide how the story unfolds in this interactive, branching narrative, solo-RPG gamebook.
Every decision could be your last, so choose wisely as you step into Edra, a world of magic and adventure, friends and enemies, and devilish dilemmas. YOU are a Braggart, an apprentice thief, trying to earn a dishonest living. Unfortunately you’ve fallen for the oldest trick in Edra, scammed by a fake map seller! Down to your last gold cogglet, you begin to wonder if the treasure marked on the map really does exist: the legendary Crown of Chaos. You make your way out of the city, only to be confronted with cries of “Murder!” Will you continue your dream of finding the Crown of Chaos or will you follow the cry of “Murder!” and investigate who the killer is, who they’ve murdered and why? |

To Kill A Thief is an exciting new fantasy illustrated gamebook – a branching narrative story, very much in the style of Choose Your Own Adventure, Fighting Fantasy, and ACE Gamebooks, in which you choose how the story unfolds – set in the mythical world of Edra, inspired by the Fantasy and Folktale genres.
I am running a Kickstarter campagin to fund production of To Kill A Thief, which will be illustrated throughout by myself using lino cut prints for every inside illustration. These will be hand-cut by myself using traditional cutting tools, lino, and rolling press. Each print will have a limited numbered print run of 30 which will be available to claim as part of a reward tier. Regardless of which Reward tier your pledge for, your support will help make Devilish Dilemmas: To Kill A Thief a reality, and everyone who backs the Kickstarter will have their name appear in the Acknowledgements in every edition of the book.
