OVERVIEW
Eager to impress the new goblin ruler, the Royal Wizard tasks their apprentices to build the most powerful wand in the land. Whichever goblin wizard can cast enough spells to create the magical power needed to forge the ultimate wand, will have the title of Grand Goblin Wizard Arcane bestowed upon them and win the Royal Wizard’s favour.
The first goblin to collect 5 parts of the ultimate wand and therefore win the Royal Wizard’s favour wins the game! ATMOSPHERE
The Wonky Wand is a quick-turn, competitive, engaging set collection card game with an ever changing landscape. With players keeping an eye on who has which wand and who casts what spell, player interaction is high. Sabotage is rife but revenge is swift! With a variety of spells and wand abilities, engagement is full, fun, and very, very mischievous!
MECHANICS
You and your rival goblin wizards lay Spell cards simultaneously, cast from your unique wands, and resolve all spell effects. Once resolved, Spell cards are kept in one of 3 personal discard piles. Collect 3 of the same colour to claim part of the ultimate wand! To enhance spells, manipulate player hand limits, and sabotage other players, each wand has its own special ability. Used wisely, you’ll gain the upper-hand. But beware the Wonky Wand! Roll the die to see what kind of spell you actually cast. Will it be the spell you wanted?
